HoPE = Higher Potential Education

Concerned New York State
Parents and Educators

"We believe achieving higher standards requires intrinsic motivation
rather than extrinsic control in the form of assessments and report cards.
Our view of education involves much more than a responsibility to provide for the cognitive domain.
We have aspirations for all of our students, who will serve society in a myriad of roles."

We support the provision of an excellent education for every child in New York State, aimed at full development of his or her talents and skills. This requires adequate fiscal resources and an enlightened educational program that recognizes that all children can learn at a high level.
