The noteworthy migration continued this week with many lingering early migrants and the normal late migrants being well reported. From Hamlin Beach State Park migrants on the 26th included 5 PINE SISKINS plus more timely migrants like 2 BLACK BELLIED and 1 SEMI PALMATED PLOVERS, 90 DUNLIN and 2 HUDSONIAN GODWITS flying west. Especially large numbers of CEDAR WAXWINGS continued to be reported. Also at Hamlin 2 late BLACK SCOTERS were seen on the 27th and 28th. A flock of 80 BRANT flew northwest on the 31st. Good numbers of BLACKPOLL WARBLERS were at Sodus Point on the 28th. CERULEAN, TENESEE and BLACKPOLL WARBLERS were well reported throughout the region. A CATTLE EGRET was reported along Hamlin Clarkson Town line Rd. on the 28th but not since. 2 adult LESSER BLACK BACKED GULLS were seen at the late date of May 29th at Charlotte Beach.
