Today's highlights include Snow Geese, Bald Eagles, Rough-legged Hawk, Peregrine Falcon, WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL, Pine Siskins and Evening Grosbeaks. There are still four Snow Geese ( 2 White & 2 Blue) staying with the Canada Geese at The Robert C. Byrd Locks & Dam. There is also a Peregrine Falcon being seen in the same area. The Robert C. Byrd Locks & Dam is located on Route #2, about 2 miles north of Apple Grove West Virginia. There was one adult Bald Eagle seen at Bluestone Lake on December the 8th and one immature Bald Eagle was seen at Cheat Lake on December the 12th. Pine Siskins and a WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL are coming to a bird feeder in Hardy Country. Call (304) 538-7121 and ask for Kathy for more information. Evening Grosbeaks are being seen in the state. Two were coming to a feeder in Lansing on December the 12th; six coming to a feeder at Athens. But reports of numerous Evening Grosbeaks are coming from Canaan Valley.
