Tasha Tudor's Rosemary for
Remembrance is a book for noting birthdays and other
important days throughout the year. Tasha Tudor wrote "Happy
Birthday to Diane" on Diane's birthday, then Tasha signed
her name on her own birthday! Tasha was born August 28, 1915.
Sadly, Tasha passed away June 18, 2008. It is now left to Diane
to fill in the date of Tasha's passing on the June page of Rosemary
for Remembrance. The Johnsons are saddened by the
passing of their friend and they will miss her. The flowers in
the small bouquet were gathered along Corgi Creek.

In honor of Tasha's birthday Diane made a
cake from the Becky's Birthday Cake receipt in The
Tasha Tudor Cookbook. It was decorated with ferns,
goldenrod, joe-pye weed and forget-me-nots.

Whilst bringing out all the items to Corgi
Creek for the birthday celebration Diane spied a frog on the bank
of the creek. What a fancy frog with its lovely blue coat! His
company was enjoyed very much. We know that Tasha & Beatrix
would have been most delighted with "Blue Frog" too!

The Real Pretend, written
by Joan Donaldson and illustrated by Tasha Tudor, sits on a
prominent shelf amongst some of the Johnsons other favorite books
by Louisa May Alcott and Beatrix Potter. The Johnsons' daughter
Sarah was the model for the illustrations of the little girl
Kathy in The Real Pretend.
