John Phillips

John Phillips, Died Nov. 20, 1842, Aged 73 years.

John Phillips was born 25 June 1769 in Cambridge, MA and died 20 Nov 1842 and was buried in Exeter Center Cemetery, Exeter, Otsego Co., NY. John married 13 Nov 1794 Mehitable May.

John Phillips was the son of John Phillips and Christina (Balch) Phillips.

John Phillips' wife Mehitable (May) Phillips was sister to my 4th great grandmother Mary (May) Shepard (wife of Jere Shepard). Mehitable and Mary were daughters of Eliakim May and Martha (Lyon) May.

Otsego County land records state that John Phillips gave land to his wife's beloved nephew Jere Shepard Jr.
