The LS Series fiber optic Laser light sources are inexpensive, reliable, compact fiber Laser test sources.Product offerings include a 1310nm laser light source (LS1310), a 1550nm Laser light source(LS1550), and a Dual Port 1310nm/ 1550nmLaser light source (LS1315). Standard features include Power On indicator, low battery detection, extended battery life, and temperature compensating power control circuitry. These fiber optic Laser light sources utilize high quality InGaAsP Laser emitters, having specified wavelength tolerance and a high degree of coupling stability, ensuring consistent and meaningful network attenuation measurements. Typical coupled output power is -5 dBm into 9um core. When used with the M100 Optical Power Meter Series, greater then 55 dBof measurement range is available. Typical applications include datacomm, telecomm, and CATV network installation and maintenance testing of singlemode fiber optic cable, passive optical component testing, patchcord verification, and other applications requiring the use of a fiber optic Laser light source.
