Ever wonder? I don't have an incredible amount of information here. I'll be adding from time to time.
Denise Nickerson
(Violet Beauregarde), Born 1959, New York, New York, USA. She left the acting business in the late 70's after doing "Dark Shadows" and then an IBM commercial. After acting was over she became a nurse and she is now a stay at home mother.
Peter Ostrum
(Charlie Bucket), Born Nov.1, 1957, Dallas, Texas, USA. Peter Ostrum is now Dr. Peter Ostrum, He is a Veterinarian in Upstate NY, USA. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was his last venture into acting.
Julie Dawn Cole
(Veruca Salt) now lives in England. She comes to New York to go Christmas shopping but she has never acted in the U.S. She has two children. A 7 year old girl and a 4 year old boy both enjoy the movie. She says that when her daughter is a brat she calls her "Veruca." Julie was acting in a off-shoot of our "Married with Children" last year but it didn't go over well in England. She still has her golden ticket. Again, she is one of the nicest ladies you'll ever meet!!
Paris Themmen
(Mike Teevee), Born June 25, 1959. In Boston Mass. He is currently living in Los Angeles, California, USA. He performed on a CD in 1993. Paris is one of the nicest and most interesting fellas that you'll ever meet! He's traveled to something like 38 countries and he's gotten himself into just about every business opportunity that you could possibly imagine!
Gene Wilder
(Willy Wonka) was born on June 11th, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. His real name is Jerome Silberman. His wife, Gilda Radner, died in 1989. I'm not sure where he is living at this time but I know that in late 1996 he was performing in a play on the Queens Theatre in London. Just this past week (2-28-99) he made an appearence in a new production of "Alice in Wonderland"
Roy Kinnear
(Mr. Salt) was born in Wigan, Lancashire, England on January 8th, 1934. He died of a heart-attack on September 20th, 1988 in Madrid, Spain after falling from a horse while filming "The Return of the Musketeers." He was a fabulous man with many talents. He was much like a father to Julie Dawn Cole (Veruca Salt) during the filming of WW&tCF.
Jack Albertson
(Grandpa Joe) was born on June 16th, 1907 in Malden, Massachusetts, USA. He died on November 25th, 1981. He was a great actor, starring in several movies. One of only three actors ever to win an Oscar, Emmy, and Tony Awards.
Diana Sowle
(Mrs. Bucket) was still acting in 1994. She was the cartel maid in "Clear and Present Danger" and she was also the hairdresser in "Guarding Tess." She is a great lady! Her husband is very very nice too! It's a pleasure to meet such great people.
David Battley
(Mr. Turkentine - Charlie's Teacher) Was in a episode of the hit comedy show Mr. Bean starring Rowan Atkinson. "Tee-Off Mr. Bean" David Battley stared in it as the manager of a miniature golf course. You can rent the video to see it. He is credited as David Battley-golf manager.
Rusty Goffe
(Oompa Loompa) Rusty is now living in England. He was in many films including Wonka, Willow, and Star Wars. He is now married and has two son's. He just made his first trip to the U.S. for the Wonka Reunion '99. He's one of the greatest people I've ever met! Rusty is still acting over in England. Look forward to seeing alot more information on Rusty and all the other Oompa Loompas in the near future.
